DIAMOND RIO - KOREA - FEBRUARY 2006

Diamond Rio traveled to South Korea to perform and sign autographs at 5 US Army Camps and the Kunsan Air Force Base.  While in Korea they also visited the Swedish and Swiss soldiers who are stationed at the DMZ protecting the Korean boarder.

"Our trip to Korea was the perfect example of being at the right place, at the right time, for the right reason.  We have lot of our brave soldiers standing post on the border of North Korea who's leader is a crazy man with his hands on the button.  You can feel the tension by just being there.  With the press devoting so many stories and resources to the middle east, these soldiers in Korea feel a little bit forgotten and isolated.  It felt great to bring a little bit of the "States" to them.  Songs like "One More Day" and "In God We Still Trust" took on a new and special meaning for some of us in the band.  I'd do this trip all over again in a heartbeat." - Jimmy Olander, Diamond Rio

CHARLIE DANIELS / DAVE PRICE - KUWAIT / IRAQ - APRIL 2006

The Charlie Daniels Band once again entertained the troops in Kuwait and at various remote sites in Iraq, setting attendance records at several of the camps and promising to go to Afghanistan to entertain those troops in the hear future.  Dave Price from CBS' The Early Show" was a special guest on the tour.  A highlight from the trip was being able to attend Easter Sunrise with the men and women defending our freedom.

"Our trips to Iraq have been some of the most rewarding and gratifying experiences I've ever had.  The courage and commitment of these young men and women will live in my heart for the rest of my life."  - God Bless them everyone, - Charlie Daniels

LEE ANN WOMACK - ITALY - JUNE 2006 - WELCOME HOME CELEBRATION

Lee Ann Womack traveled to Vicenza, Italy as part of a Welcome Home Celebration to entertain troops who had spent the last year of their deployment in Iraq.  Lee Ann's also took advantage of being in Europe and made a stop in Ramstein, Germany to visit the wounded at Landstuhl Medical Center and The Fisher House Foundation.

It's not every day you wake up knowing ahead of time it's gonna be one of the greatest days of your life.  It was my honor at Landstuhl this morning to shake the hands of American soldiers and Marines, look them in the eye and personally thank them for what they've done for my family.” - Lee Ann Womack

COWBOY CRUSH - ITALY - JULY 2006

Cowboy Crush spent the week of July 4th traveling throughout Italy entertaining troops as part of a Stars for Stripes / AFE tour.

It was a rare pleasure to share a holiday with the troops that sacrifice so many of theirs.  We hope that we brought a little slice of home to our courageous defenders overseas.  - Cowboy Crush

CHARLIE DANIELS - KOREA - OCTOBER 2006

Charlie Daniels and the CDB traveled to South Korea to entertain and show their support for our soldiers who are protecting the border between South and North Korea.

Anytime I'm among the men and women who wear the uniform of our nation I am humbled and honored by the degree of their sacrifice. Young people who give up the very best years of their lives to preserve our way of life and guarantee the safety of our nation.  - Charlie Daniels

AARON TIPPIN - AFGHANISTAN - NOVEMBER 2006

Aaron Tippin is scheduled to travel to Afghanistan and Kuwait over the Thanksgiving Holidays to boost the morale of our Operation Enduring Freedom troops.

“Those are the real workin’ men and women, and if I can repay even an ounce of what they are doing for me, my family, and my country by taking their mind off of the day-to-day risks…well, I can’t think of a better thing to do with my time,” Aaron said earlier today. “They have been fighting for the rights we take for granted every day, and I want to make sure they know we’re thankful.”

KARRI TURNER / JIM McMAHON / KEVIN BUTLER - IRAQ - DECEMBER / JANUARY

Karri Turner, Jim McMahon, Kevin Butler and Dave Price traveled to Iraq to  “Ring in the New Year” and show their support for our men and women serving in the Armed Forces at the end of December in support of our Operation Iraqi Freedom forces.

"This tour to Iraq had to be one of the best I've ever taken.  We were able to visit troops in out laying places that never get entertainment due to the danger factor.  It's weird to be thanked by service men and women for coming over to see them when they've been deployed 2 and 3 times.  These folks are unbelievably brave and make me proud to be an American.  We should all be so lucky to have the chance to thank them, whether it's overseas, or when they get home.  I will never be the same after doing these tours.....never."  -  Karri Turner
