Aaron Tippin made a media visit to Washington, DC to discuss his annual Thanksgiving Holiday Tour for the troops deployed to remote locations overseas.   Aaron visits the troops each year as part of a Stars for Stripes tour.
While in DC, Aaron was interviewed by the Pentagon Channel, Stars and Stripes, The Danger Zone, and the Bill Bennett Show.  Aaron filmed PSA messages supporting the troops for AFN and made the first-ever video webcast for Stars and Stripes.  His interview with The Danger Zone reunited him with his long-time friend and Thanksgiving Iraq Tour partner Fox News Correspondent Colonel Bill Cowan.
In addition to media visits, Aaron visited with the staff of America Supports You, Why We Serve, JCOC, Brigadier General Robin Rand (Principal Director to Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Middle East Policy, Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy), Colonel Brick Miller (U.S. Army), and Dr. James Finley (Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Technology).
As a special treat, Aaron had dinner one night with Christopher Bain -- one of our wounded heroes who is currently running for public office in his hometown in Pennsylvania.  Aaron also attended a special dinner for 22 wounded heroes and their families from Walter Reed Medical Center.  The dinner was hosted by a special group of Secret Service Agents and Tesaro's Restaurant.
On his last day in DC, Aaron visited the Tomb of the Unknowns and was given a special "backstage tour" including an explanation of the history of the remarkable soldiers assigned to this special area.  Later in the day, he visited with Toys for Tots and toured their new headquarters, as well as visited the Marine Museum.  After signing autographs for the Marines stationed at Quantico, Aaron was invited to the test his skills at the James J. Rowley Training Center.  An avid hunter, Aaron was able to hold his own against the special agents.
