Charlie Daniels Awarded at the Pentagon
(NASHVILLE, TN -- June 27th, 2007) During a recent visit to the
Pentagon, Charlie Daniels received the Office of the Secretary of
Defense Medal for exceptional public service in support of armed
troops from Michael L. Dominguez, principal deputy under secretary
of defense for personnel and readiness. Daniels has
performed for the troops in more than 20 different installations in
countries across the
globe. The Charlie Daniels Band just released
their 19th album entitled Live From Iraq on Blue Hat Records. The
two disc set includes thirteen songs picked from four performances
recorded in Iraq when the Charlie Daniels Band performed for
US/Multinational Troops as part of the Stars for Stripes Tour.
