CHRIS YOUNG TO MAKE SECOND OVERSEAS VISIT TO ENTERTAIN U.S. TROOPS
 
Young to embark on the “PIECE OF HOME” tour throughout Iraq and Kuwait April 13-21

Nashville, TN...(April 11, 2011)...GRAMMY® nominated performer Chris Young is preparing to make his second visit to entertain U.S. troops stationed overseas, as part of the Stars For Stripes tour.  Young will embark on the “PIECE OF HOME” tour, performing for service members stationed in Iraq and Kuwait, from April 13^th through April 21^st. 

Not only will Young and his full band perform 5 concerts at 5 camps throughout Iraq and Kuwait, he will also offer special acoustic sets at various remote FOBs (Forward Operating Base) for troops who seldom receive celebrity entertainment.  Chris is not going empty-handed.  He has been collecting iTunes gift cards with the help of his incredible fans and will be distributing them to service members along the way.
 
This will be Young’s second tour to the area and his first performance in Kuwait.   His initial tour was in October 2009, where he traveled with Craig Morgan and two wounded heroes, Staff Sergeant Scott Lilley and Sergeant First Class Joe Bowser.  The visit was chronicled by GAC and is a television special titled “Stars for Stripes - Wounded Warriors Return.”  In addition to entertaining troops overseas, Young serves as a member of the Board Of Directors for “Stars For Stripes.”
