Jude!!!!  Just got back to my hooch from the show here in Salerno.  IT WAS AWESOME!!!
Chely, Dave and Joe were great.  Dave was funnier than I thought he'd be and Joe put on a good demonstration. 
Just wanted to let you know that all of us here in DUSTOFF and the rest of the units appreciate all you and the entertainers are doing for us and the sacrifices that y'all are making for this show.

LOVE TO ALL OF YOU AND HOPE Y'ALLS FLIGHT BACK TO BAGRAM AND BACK TO THE STATES IS A SAFE ONE.

I would like to thank everyone involved in the Price is Wright tour for coming to Forward Operating Base Salerno. I have been here since February and this was our first concert. The show was great and a big morale booster. I hope they continue to do concerts at remote sites. You truely support the soldier.

Ma'am,
      I first want to say thank you for what you do
for us.  I had the opportunity to see Chely Wright,
Joey Gilbert, and Mr. Price at FOB Salerno,
Afghanistan last night.  I enjoy country music and I
live for live music in general...so thanks again. 
      I believe that it was the first time a show has
been put on here at salerno, at least in my seven
months on the fob.  Please keep the bands and
performers on the road towards FOB Salerno. It was
certainly an uplifting moment in a place packed with
hours of routine.

Last Night Chely Wright performed at Forward Operating Base Aned in Orgun Afghanistan.
I have had the pleasure of attending Chely’s concert while stationed in the DMZ in Korea and now here. She is the only performer who music I own who has come in such a manner and her visit was welcome. We have had one cover band come and play for us in the seven months here prior to last night. It was a great morale boost to us and a relief from the daily grid to share in her music.

My husband got to go to the Chely Wright concert last night and he said that it was the most fun and the happiest that he had been in a long time. I could even hear it in his voice. It made me feel better to hear his smile again. He just talked about how nice everyone who was there was and what a great time it was. So I just wanted to say thank you for giving my husband something to smile about and for giving him a happy memory to off set the rest of the ones that he has. What you are doing is a great thing and from this family member back home I thank you. It made me cry to know that he had finally had something to be happy about and a stant out day that was not just another groundhog day.

Dear Judy,
We met the day/night you, Chely and Dave Price came to Salerno to visit myself and the rest of the troops. First off, I want to extend my thanks to you, Chely and Dave for coming here to show your support for our cause. It means a lot to us to know there are gifted people such as yourselves, out there and willing to take the time to visit the men and women who are shot at everyday just to defend freedom's front door.
Please pass on to Chely our sincere thanks. Her singing was outstanding! I'm having my folks back in the states buy a copy of that song she sung that night about the marine sticker she put on her SUV. That definitely deserved a standing ovation and I'm glad she got that.
If you see Dave and Joey, please extend our warmest thanks to them as well. Dave was a sure crack up! And tell Joey that every soldier here in FOB Salerno appreciate his dedication and willingness to support us and help us by sending those boxing bags and mitts. It's very much appreciated!
Remember - Freedom is never free. It comes with a price tag!
