"Thanks For The Music"

A gift of music from the heartland of America,

"Thanks For The Music","A gift of music from the heartland of America, into the cradle of
civilization here in Iraq,...","I'm currently serving in Mosul, in northern Iraq, in support of the US Army
Stryker Brigade. Yesterday we received a packet of Steve Wariner
CD's...Steal Another Day. Your name and organization was displayed inside
the CD jacket, thus I'm responding to you. If you are directly responsible
for this gift to us, then THANK YOU! If it was someone in your office, or in
Mr. Warnier's office, or frankly somebody else in the distribution chain,
then on behalf of us in Mosul, THANK THEM!

A gift of music from the heartland of America, into the cradle of
civilization here in Iraq, that has seen snow, mud and now dust in just two
weeks...is sincerely appreciated, and not just by us country music fans. It
is a welcome change from listing to ""Hadji Music"", the solemn calls to
prayer five times a day, the sound of generators, and C130's landing, and
yes, the terrifying wail of incoming mortars at night.

Thank you again, and thank God in protecting us, and our treasured nation,
our families and friends, and those who are here to protect and promote
freedom. From my perspective, the Iraqi's here are doing their best in
working together with us to rebuild a country that Saddam plundered for over
30 years. Sure there are those that are filled with hate, but they are a
small minority and hopefully ""Inshalla"" it will be God's will that they are
driven to stop by the progress that freedom offers.

Best regards,

Jim Collins
