"Not Only In Times Of War"

Not only in times of war, but 365 days a year, every year, men and women of the United States military are serving in isolated and remote locations around the world.

Celebrity entertainment is a major morale booster for these Americans far from family and friends. Not only does it brighten their day, but it lets them know that America cares and has not forgotten them --no matter where they serve. The US military deserves the best we can give them and I salute the entertainers who volunteer their time and talent to make a contribution for our troops who proudly put their country first. Anyone who has witnessed a show in the mud of Bosnia, the deck of an aircraft carrier, the DMZ of Korea or the families in Europe has experienced a part of the unselfish greatness of the United States. As our men and women in uniform face a new and extensive War on Terrorism, we should all renew our efforts to support those prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice to keep us safe. As hundreds of entertainers can attest, they are the greatest audiences in the world. I'm proud to have been a small part of this wonderful tradition and even prouder to see that it continues. With the support of freedom loving citizens the USA and "the show" will always GO ON!
