I sincerely want to say thank you

I sincerely want to say thank you to Chely Wright and Stars for Stripes for bringing a piece of home to those of us here in Iraq. We don't normally have the luxury to take time out or our mind off of the job at hand. When Ms. Wright began to sing, the few hundred of us gathered around the stage at Camp Cooke did just that. For a brief moment, we were not in Iraq. With her songs she helped us forget about where we were for a little while and she showed us the real meaning of patriotism by even coming here to Iraq knowing the level of risk involved. I will always be grateful to Chely and to all the entertainers that support organizations like this. Their selflessness allows the servicemen and servicewomen of the armed forces to take a break from reality, even only if its for a little while. Sincerely,
