They are fathers, sons,
husbands, brothers,


They are fathers, sons,
husbands, brothers,
Sisters, daughters, wives
and mothers;
Those who choose to serve
and defend,
Through pain or fear
until the end;
Through injury, loss,
and threat of death,
With valor to their
final breath;
The men and women
young and old,
Who guard our freedom
brave and bold;
I pray for God to
walk with you,
In sacrifice and
service true;
When overseas and
far away,
May you in peace
and safety stay;
And swift return
to us again,
Parent, child, family,
friend.
