MARK WILLS PERFORMS FOR 5TH
SPECIAL FORCES GROUP AT FORT CAMPBELL, KY
Mark
Wills and his band were honored to perform an acoustic show as part
of a 50th Anniversary of the 5th Special Forces Group. The day
was filled with family fun activities, tents displaying the gear
used / worn by the Special Forces in action and live music.
As part of the "remembrance" of war times, a huge wall was on
display depicting information of each war as far back as the
American Revolution. A smaller replica of the Vietnam Wall was
on display, as well as photos of each President, information on the
military ranks, photos from war times and photos of the attacks on
September 11, along with conversation from flight attendants on AA
#11. There was also a wall of honor for "Global War on
Terror", which included a dog tag for each fallen solider lost in
Iraq and Afghanistan with their rank and date.
Also on display is two huge pieces of steel from the Twin Towers.
They are laid in the shape of Roman numeral V, in recognition of the
5th Special Forces.
